The sixth season of Netflix‘s Cobra Kai may be its final, but the cast and crew are making sure the show goes out with a bang.
A new social media video (above) was released on Monday morning officially kicking off production and showing the beloved cast returning to Atlanta with a look at some behind-the-scenes action.
Additionally, Netflix has dropped a first-look photo of Ralph Macchio and William Zabka as Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, at center.
The former foes turn bros are surrounded by much of the young cast including Xolo Maridueña, Jacob Bertrand, Mary Mouser, Tanner Buchanan, Peyton List and Gianni DeCenzo, among others. The hit series also stars Martin Kove, Courtney Henggeler, Vanessa Rubio, Dallas Dupree Young, Yuji Okumoto, Alicia Hannah-Kim, Griffin Santopietro and Oona O’Brien.
As Deadline revealed exclusively in November, Dexter star C.S. Lee joined the cast of Cobra Kai as Master Kim Sun-Young, the anti-Miyagi whose granddaughter Kim Da-eun made her presence known last season.
Season 5 was released in September of 2022 with a lengthy delay for the Season 6 return due to the dual WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. The series is expected to premiere in 2024.
Cobra Kai is written and executive produced by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg via their production company, Counterbalance Entertainment. Will Smith, James Lassiter and Caleeb Pinkett executive produce for Westbrook Entertainment along with Susan Ekins in association with Sony Pictures Television. Macchio and Zabka also serve as executive producers.
