TV and film were neck and neck for eyeballs last week on Netflix. Cobra Kai Season 6A stole the No. 1 spot for series and eked out a win for most-viewed title with 14.8M views.

This is a decent showing for the first five episodes of the final season, though Netflix is surely hoping it will grow over the 91-day premiere window. There are two more parts to Season 6, with more episodes coming in November and in 2025. Such a lengthy wait between new episodes is likely hurting early viewership as some audiences will wait until more episodes are available before it debuts, meaning a more impressive debut week for the final episodes is more than possible.

Vikings: Valhalla took over this week after Season 3 debuted in second place with 6.4M views. Season 1 broke back onto the list at sixth with 2.4M views, and Season 2 managed tenth with 1.9M views.

As audiences prep for the 2024 Paris Olympics, they also tuned in to the new docuseries Simone Biles Rising to see how the elite gymnast readied herself to make a return to the world stage. The four episodes debuted in third place with 4.7M views.

On the film side of things, Harry Connick Jr.’s Find Me Falling raked in 14.4M views, coming in first place and pacing just barely below Cobra Kai. Second went to Trolls Band Together.

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F and A Family Affair took fourth and fifth place, respectively. The Eddie Murphy sequel drew another 8.3M views, while Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman’s latest fare managed 5.5M.

Notably, the 2020 film Hillbilly Elegy soared back onto the list at No. 8, racking up 4.8M views in the days after J.D. Vance — who wrote the memoir on which the film is based — was selected as former President Donald Trump’s vice presidential running mate in the upcoming election.
