The Undertaker’s surprising appearance at WrestleMania 40 Sunday’s main event left the audience in awe. His unexpected arrival, particularly his confrontation with The Rock, was a standout moment. Following the event, Cody Rhodes admitted he sent The Deadman a drunken rant via text message.
At WrestleMania 40’s main event, there was a surprising moment when The Final Boss hit John Cena with a Rock Bottom. As the match got more intense, the sound of The Undertaker’s gong filled the arena, making the crowd go wild.
The Undertaker then appeared and chokeslammed The Rock during the fight between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. His sudden appearance and powerful move shocked everyone, and he disappeared just as quickly as he had come, leaving the audience amazed.
While speaking on the Insight podcast, Cody Rhodes recalled what he did on that eventful April night after WrestleMania ended. Rhodes mentioned that he didn’t sleep at all. Instead, he went directly to the Today Show. While lying in a bunk, he texted several people, including The Undertaker.
Rhodes described the message to The Undertaker as a rambling, possibly intoxicated rant, expressing his gratitude for The Undertaker’s presence. Rhodes noted that The Undertaker responded immediately, conveying his gratitude in return.
“I didn’t sleep. I went right to the Today Show. I lay in a bunk and I texted a bunch of people including The Undertaker… I left him, what I would call, a rambling, ‘perhaps’ intoxicated little rant, just thanking him for being there. It’s the frickin’ sheriff. [He responded] Immediately after, he was [Grateful.]”
Cody Rhodes dethroned Roman Reigns to become the Undisputed WWE Champion and he has since been booked well as the champion. Nevertheless, he will always appreciate The Undertaker and that’s all that matters.
