Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that the Bloodline storyline is one of the longest-running and most profitable stories in recent WWE history. Starting from Roman Reigns wrestling Jey Uso, to them forming the faction, up until now with Solo Sikoa forming his own Bloodline, everything has received a lot of praise from fans and critics alike.
Recently, the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes reflected on the Bloodline storyline. While speaking on Fox News, Rhodes said he always felt like being brought into the Bloodline feud as the guy to put an end to the Tribal Chief’s title reign, and he did exactly that. The Undisputed Universal Champion also named Paul Heyman as the mastermind behind the scenes.
“I’m always of the thought that my point in the story was just to be the guy who beats them. And I know that sounds really like arrogant and… But I thought maybe that’s just what I do. You know, with Solo Sikoa who will be there tonight, of course, Roman Reigns will be there tonight but… I’d say kind of the more behind the curtain aspect that when all said and done, and people look at how unbelievable that story has been over the years and what it’s done for WWE, and WWE’s business. Mr. Heyman, Mr. Paul Heyman should probably be considered kind of the Martin Scorsese behind it all. He’s really a fascinating unique individual. And has a sense of what the audience may want and they don’t even know they want it. Just super genius,” Cody Rhodes said.
