Cody Rhodes undeniably connects with fans in a unique way, making him a true man of the people in WWE. It’s been a whirlwind of a week for Rhodes and he decided to compete in a match after SmackDown this week.

Cody Rhodes made waves by winning the Royal Rumble for the second consecutive year. There was controversy when it seemed he gave up his WrestleMania spot to The Rock, but he later chose to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, setting up a rematch from the previous year.

Cody Rhodes was promoted for SmackDown this week but did not make an appearance during the episode. Additionally, no one else from the WrestleMania 40 Press Conference fallout, except Triple H, Nick Aldis, and Adam Pearce, was featured.

After Friday Night SmackDown concluded, Cody Rhodes triumphed over Solo Sikoa, marking their first encounter in almost a year. This victory follows Cody’s previous win over Solo on RAW before WrestleMania 39, where he handed Solo Sikoa his first pinfall defeat.
