Cody Rhodes is inching close to rewriting the biggest wrong of his WWE career, earning redemption, and finishing his story at WrestleMania 40. However, it has been noticeable that his foe, The Rock has brought up his mother, Michelle Rubio time and time again on the road to WrestleMania.

The banter started when Cody Rhodes mentioned about possibly winning the Undisputed WWE Universal Title from Roman Reigns on Night 2 of WrestleMania 40 a few weeks ago on RAW. Rhodes stated that while he could not hand the title to his late father, he surely wanted to give it to his mother.

Since then, The Rock has taken every opportunity to mock Mama Rhodes, which began the following week on SmackDown when The Final Boss resurrected his famous ‘Rock Concert’ segment after years.

Most recently, he mentioned Michelle once again after laying hellacious assault on Cody Rhodes at the end of Monday Night RAW this week. The Rock unveiled a custom weight belt with ‘Mama Rhodes’ engraved on it and covered with Cody’s blood all over, something The Rock plans to recreate at WrestleMania 40 and hand over to Michelle Rubio, who would possibly be in attendance for the show.

With Cody’s mother gaining popularity, courtesy of regular mentions on WWE television programming, her daughter Teil Rhodes took to her X to announce exclusive merchandise for her available at WrestleCon with all the proceeds from it going to The Dusty Rhodes Foundation.

With Michelle Rubio and her entire family expected to be at WrestleMania 40, we will have to wait and see if the show ends in a Nightmare or glory for them with Cody Rhodes becoming the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
