The final edition of Friday Night SmackDown before WrestleMania 40 ended in a similar scenario that was witnessed on this week’s RAW. The only difference was that the tables turned and favored fan favorites, Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, unlike the night on the red brand.
The events transpired at the onset of the main event for tonight’s edition of the show, pitting real-life brothers, Jey Uso and Solo Sikoa in a heated showdown, a data before the leader of the YEET movement squares off against his twin brother, Jimmy Uso on WrestleMania 40 Night 1.
It was a hard-hitting and jam-packed action sight to witness as both brothers gave a preview of what the fans can expect at WrestleMania between the Jey and Jimmy Uso clash. However, as Jey looked to close on the victory, Jimmy ran interference to beat down his estranged brother.
But Jey Uso had the calvary ready at the back, as his allies, Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes rushed to the ring and neutralized the threat of Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. Interestingly, Rhodes took out his weight belt and he and Seth Rollins smashed both Usos in a similar assault that he and Rollins were subjected to by The Final Boss, The Rock on RAW followed by a thunderous Uso splash by Jey.
Rhodes ended the show with a final message for his foes, The Rock and Roman Reigns vowing to finish his story and hinted at the future about a new and better story beginning at the end of the previous one.
