Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes speaks highly of Samantha Irvin.
On October 2, Samantha Irvin announced her departure from WWE. Lilian Garcia then made her return to WWE as the new ring announcer for WWE RAW.
Speaking with The Schmo, Cody Rhodes was asked to comment on Samantha Irvin’s departure.
“What a wonderful…I feel like time will tell, it’s always in our business five or ten years after somebody’s gone, you hear about how wonderful and how amazing,” Cody Rhodes said. “She is top five, maybe top three. Samantha was just killing it. I know with her and WWE, they left on good terms, so that’s amazing because the door is open in case she ever wants to come back. I’ve never watched WrestleMania 40 back, but I can hear it still, in terms of her very emotional announcement of winning the WWE Championship, and that’s gonna be forever linked to me.
“So hat’s off to Samantha, that is one of my homies, and for sure, hope to see her down the road. But whatever she does, if you heard her voice, she’s gonna kill it, and Lilian Garcia stepping back in, Lilian beloved by WWE fans for so many years, perfect person to kind of take the baton and carry it for us.”
