Veteran rockers Coldplay have teamed with Abramorama to mount what they have described as a “global theatrical premiere event” tied to their upcoming album Moon Music

On October 2nd, the band will launch Moon Music through a series of “communal listening experience” events hosted in select theaters around the globe. The event will be distributed through Abramorama.  The Moon Music theatrical experience will play at over 700 locations in more than 40 countries around the globe ahead of the album’s release on October 4th via Atlantic Records.

“We love that fans have a chance to hear Moon Music in cinemas worldwide ahead of release – all in glorious Dolby surround sound,” Coldplay said of the event in a statement.

Abramorama’s President & Head of International Distribution Evan Saxon added. “Abramorama is honored to work with Coldplay and Warner Music to create a global communal experience for their fans to gather and share in being the first to enjoy the band’s new album Moon Music.”

Abramorama has partnered with the Dutch-based Piece of Magic on the events. Abramorama is the veteran documentary distributor, responsible for flicks like Paul Dugdale’s Raye: My 21st Century Symphony Live at the Royal Albert Hall and John McDermott’s Electric Lady Studios: A Jimmy Hendrix Vision as well as the recently announced rock doc Placebo: This Search For Meaning directed by BAFTA-winner Oliver Samson.
