Nagarkurnool: On the 78th Independence Day, Nagarkurnool Collector Badavath Santosh honored Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He placed garlands on their portraits and raised the national flag at a ceremony held at the Collectorate. Following the flag hoisting, he received a guard of honor from the police.
During his speech, the Collector encouraged the youth to find inspiration in the lives of the great leaders who fought for freedom. He stressed that these leaders made sacrifices for the benefit of future generations and not for their own gain. He mentioned that a true tribute to these leaders would be creating a society without discrimination.
The Collector also urged government workers to ensure that welfare programs reach the needy. He emphasized the importance of contributing to the development and revitalization of Nagarkurnool district. He reminded everyone that Independence Day celebrations are a result of the struggles and sacrifices of many leaders. He called on people to embrace patriotism and help lead the country toward progress.
The event was attended by Additional Collector Seetharama Rao, Collectorate AO Chandrasekhar, and district officials from various departments, among others.
