EXCLUSIVE: Comedian Danny Jolles announced on Tuesday that he’ll film his third special at the world-famous Roxy Theatre on September 14th, with shows at both 7:00 and 9:30 p.m.

As with his past specials, there’s a large concept at the heart of Jolles’ latest, and while it remains a secret for now, the general theme of the hour is marriage and evolving as a human over time. Dare he say, maturing.

Gordie Earle and Brad Silnutzer will direct following collaborations with Jolles on his previous specials. Don’t Tell Comedy will be the production company alongside promotion company AEG Presents. Artist Presale begins June 18 with general tickets dropping on the 21st.

A multi-hyphenate comedian known for his high-concept specials, Jolles released his last two, You Choose and Danny Jolles: Six Parts, in 2022 and 2021, respectively. A choose-your-own-adventure hour billed as the first-ever interactive stand-up special, You Choose was met with critical acclaim from the New York Times, Vulture and Forbes, among other outlets. Recognized as one of the Best Comedy Specials of 2021 by the New York Times, Six Parts watched as Jolles deliver his first hour over six nights at six unique venues, including a gym, a barbershop, a surf shop, an art gallery, a recording studio and a comedy club.

Otherwise best known for playing George on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, the Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning CW comedy from Rachel Bloom and Aline Brosh McKenna, Jolles has also been in films like Damien Chazelle’s Babylon and series like Hulu’s Ramy. Currently, he can be seen on Peacock’s Ted from creator Seth MacFarlane.

Jolles is represented by Framework Entertainment and Garrett Legal.
