Comic Nollywood actor John Okafor better known as Mr Ibu has been buried in Enugu amid tears.
The 62-year-old was laid to rest in his hometown, Amuri in the Nkanu West Local Government of State on Friday.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that the remains of the late actor arrived in his hometown in the early hours of Friday, after the State hosted a night of tribute on Wednesday, June 26 in honor of the late actor.
Videos that emerged online show moments from the ongoing funeral ceremony in Enugu as friends and family members could not hold back tears as bid farewell to the late thespian.
The venue was surrounded by security operatives, including the police and local vigilante groups who prevented authorised persons from gaining entrance into the ceremony.
Mr. Ibu passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024, after a prolonged illness which required financial assistance. In November 2023, his family confirmed that one of his legs had been amputated in a bid to save his life.
