Manchester United will be looking to keep their hopes of winning a trophy this season alive when they face Liverpool in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup at Old Trafford.
The Reds, who reached the last eight with a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the previous round, know a win will book their place in a Wembley semi-final. It is a chance to build on last week’s 2-0 win over Everton.
Erik ten Hag has named his side for this afternoon’s cup tie, with some notable names back in the line-up…
The headlines will focus on Casemiro’s absence as well as the return of Rasmus Hojlund. On another positive note, however, Harry Maguire and Mason Mount return to the matchday squad and make the bench.
Andre Onana will start between the sticks.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka returns to right-back, while Diogo Dalot switches flanks to play at left-back. We saw Wan-Bissaka at left-back once this season – in the draw versus Tottenham at Old Trafford. The centre-back pairing consists of Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof.
Without Casemiro in midfield, Kobbie Mainoo is joined by Scott McTominay and Bruno Fernandes.
We will also see Hojlund return to the attack, with Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford on either flank.
