Manchester United face Man City at Wembley in the Community Shield and Erik ten Hag has named his starting eleven.

City booked their place in the football season curtain-raiser after winning their fourth consecutive Premier League title last season before United beat them in the FA Cup final.

The Reds went into the FA Cup final as underdogs but an incredible performance meant two trophies in as many years under Ten Hag.

Andre Onana starts between the sticks as expected.

The back four consists of Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire, Jonny Evans and Lisandro Martinez. It looks like the Argentina, who was part of Argentina’s Copa America-winning side this summer, is playing at left-back.

The midfield includes Casemiro, Kobbie Mainoo and Mason Mount.

Meanwhile, Bruno Fernandes will play the same false nine role that proved to be a success last time out against City. The captain is joined by Marcus Rashford and Amad Diallo in attack.
