Manchester United players are dropping like flies with injury concerns heading into the international break.

Earlier today, it was confirmed that Alejandro Garnacho would not be joining up with world champions Argentina, with the player subsequently revealing via Instagram that he’d been nursing knee problems in his last two outings

He featured for 45 minutes against FC Porto last week before playing the full 90 in Sunday’s stalemate at Villa Park. Given that he was injured, his inclusion will now raise the eyebrows of supporters, as Amad Diallo was fit and raring to get the nod.

Elsewhere, England announced tonight that Kobbie Mainoo would be withdrawing from camp following an unspecified issue sustained over the weekend. He missed the Porto clash due to a hamstring complaint sustained in the prior defeat to Tottenham Hotspur but was deemed fit enough to play for 85 minutes over the weekend.

Mainoo, Mazraoui and Garnacho will be granted some much-needed rest

Joining the two youngsters, who you’d expect will return to Carrington for assessments, is Noussair Mazraoui. The summer recruit – deemed ‘so consistent’ by StatmanDave for his impressive efforts since signing – was taken off at the interval vs Villa and replaced by returnee Victor Lindelof.
