The holiday shopping season is basically here. Have you put much thought into what you’re getting your family and friends this year? If you have not, maybe first start with a gift for yourself. You can set yourself up with a Costco gold star membership and then get all your gifts this year at Costco. The place has pretty much everything after all. Right now, StackSocial is promoting a deal in which you can get a yearlong membership for just $65 and it will include a $45 digital gift card, which you might as well put toward your holiday shopping.
This past summer, StackSocial was running a similar deal, but it only granted new members a measly $20 gift card. Now the bonus has been more than doubled to $45. That’s so many more $1.50 hot dogs you can buy (30 of them total). And that price is not changing anytime soon, as many folks know, the the founder of Costco allegedly told a CEO who wanted to raise it, “If you raise the effing hot dog, I will kill you.”
A Costco gold membership will allow you to shop at over 600 locations within the United States as well as over 800 locations worldwide. You’ll be able to use your card at Costco’s business centers, travel, gas stations, hearing aid centers, optical, pharmacies and, of course, Costco’s website. You can share the membership among anyone in your household. Just send them off with the household card and they’ll be permitted to shop at a Costco location.
Want More Than Just Gold?
If you want even more perks for yourself, you can sign up instead for the executive membership. With that, you’ll gain all the perks that come along with the gold membership, but you’ll also be privy to additional benefits and greater discounts on select Costco services. These include lower prices on check printing and free roadside assistance through vehicles in the auto insurance program. You’ll also be granted an annual 2% reward (up to $1,250) on qualified Costco purchases.
The Costco gold membership is going for just $65 while the executive membership is $130. Both come with the digital Costco shop card. Upon signing up, the $45 Costco card will be sent directly via email from Costco within two weeks after successfully redeeming. The digital credit is not just one-time use, so you don’t have to spend the $45 at once. This deal is valid for new members only or for members whose memberships have expired more than 18 months ago.
