The draw for the semi-finals of the Coupe de France took place this Friday evening.

This 2023-24 edition of the Coupe de France offers a particularly tough table. This week, three teams punched their ticket for the last four of the oldest competitions. Well placed at the foot of the top 5, Franck Haise’s team has the opportunity to perform excellently before the final stretch of this season.

L’Olympique Lyonnais defeated Racing Club de Strasbourg after a penalty shootout (0-0, 4-3 tab). The next day, Valenciennes, a Ligue 2 club, enforced the hierarchy by winning against FC Rouen (1-1, 4-2 tab). And this Thursday, it was Stade Rennais which validated its qualification by putting an end to the dream of Little Thumb, Le Puy (3-1).

Coupe de France semi-finals: a shock on the program!

Lyon, Rennes and Valenciennes were therefore affected by this draw, as were Paris Saint-Germain and Nice. These two elite leaders will meet on March 13 to reach the final four. All these beautiful people are already focused on the short-term future.

The big poster for these semi-finals will feature the winner of PSG-Nice and Rennes. The other match in the last four will pit Lyon against Valenciennes. These semi-finals will take place the week of April 3.
