Scream fans might not be happy to learn that Courteney Cox is not signed on for the seventh film in the franchise, which is supposedly going to start filming in December. First, Courteney was asked about David Arquette‘s Dewey being killed off in a previous film. Keep reading to find out more… “I understand the reasons they did it, but whoa! Talk about a missed character. Dewey is so loved by ‘Scream’ fans. They have to figure it out,” Courteney told Variety about getting Dewey back in the film. David has said he’s not returning, but perhaps there’s a new update coming!? Then, Courteney said she’s not even signed on at this time. “I’m not officially signed on. I’m not, but there will be a Scream 7.’” Courteney has portrayed Gale Weathers in most of the Scream films. About if she’d sign on and if there’s a final date she has to decide by, she shared, “They’re rewriting all the time. It’s not like I don’t know what’s going on.”
