Courteney Cox Says She Gets Visits From Matthew Perry Six Months After His Death

Courteney Cox is reflecting on Matthew Perry‘s tragic passing.

Matthew died on October 28, 2023 at 54 from the acute effects of the anesthetic ketamine.

During a recent appearance on CBS Sunday Morning, Courteney, 59, said that she still feels Matthew‘s presence in her life.

Keep reading to find out more…“He visits me a lot, if we believe in that,” Courteney shared. “I talk to my mom, my dad, Matthew. I feel like there are a lot of people that guide us. I sense Matthew’s around for sure.”

Courteney and Matthew‘s characters Monica Geller and Chandler began a relationship in season four of Friends and stayed together until the show ended in 2004.

“I think he’s probably one of the funniest human beings in the world,” Courteney said of Matthew. “He is genuinely a huge heart—obviously struggled. I’m so thankful I got to work so closely with him for so many years.”

Also in her interview, Courteney talked about her enduring friendship with all of her Friends co-stars.

“I’m grateful that I had that opportunity to work with such wonderful people and to live the life that I have now,” Courteney said. “That was my family. We went through everything. Those 10 years were everything.”
