“Credit to West Ham” – Fabrizio Romano lauds Hammers for their work this summer

With a couple of weeks left until the transfer window closes for another few months, West Ham United can already be looking back on a job well done.

Tim Steidten has gone above and beyond to bring the likes of Luis Guilherme, Jean-Clair Todibo, Niclas Fullkrug and other huge talents to East London.

Whilst it’s clear that it will take some time for all of the new players to gel, and for the starting XI to become a well-oiled machine, the immediate future is looking very bright indeed for the Hammers.

Transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, has also lauded the club’s work across this summer.

West Ham praised for their transfer business

“It’s still too early to predict what’s going to happen in the final weeks of the transfer window in my opinion,” he said to CaughtOffside for his exclusive Daily Briefing.

“Many things can happen for all the big clubs… it’s gonna be a long couple of weeks, for sure.

“So, not a good time for predicting who will have had the best window, but credit to West Ham so far.

“They’ve done an excellent job landing players like Wan Bissaka, Todibo, Guido Rodriguez, Fullkrug… these are names for top, top clubs.

“Congrats to West Ham, really.”

High praise indeed for a club that have often been lacking where transfer windows are concerned.



Rarely can there have been a time when the Hammers have landed so many quality additions to their ranks in one go, and if they go on to showcase their best work, Julen Lopetegui’s side will be flying.

From a season that fizzled out under David Moyes whilst playing some of the most boring football imaginable, West Ham fans can dream about Bubbles flying high again during 2024/25.

Lopetegui will surely be given a short honeymoon period, but he’ll need to deliver quickly because the claret and blue half of East London expects…
