Cristiano Ronaldo couldn’t believe his eyes after missing an incredible chance for Al-Nassr on Monday night.
Ronaldo was presented with a golden opportunity to equalize for Al-Nassr against Al-Ain on Monday night, but he missed the target from three meters from goal. A long-range shot is deflected by the goalkeeper directly in the direction of Ronaldo, but the Portuguese international fails to target his attempt while the goal is empty. Al-Nassr entered the match with a score of 1-0 after the first leg.
Two goals from Soufiane Rahimi put Al Ain ahead 3-0 on aggregate, but the Saudis responded with an attempt from Abdulrahman Ghareeb, an own goal and a strike from Alex Telles to equalize at 3-3 and force overtime. The Portuguese striker has struggled in recent times, with his last goal coming on February 25 for Saudi Arabia.
With Monday’s failure, the Al-Nassr player is in his third consecutive match without a goal. Al-Nassr faces Al-Ahli on Friday March 15 in the league, in a battle between second and third in the Saudi Pro League. Ronaldo and his teammates are six points ahead of their competitor, but are 12 points behind leader Al-Hilal.
