In honor of Real Madrid’s 122nd anniversary, Los Blancos legend Cristiano Ronaldo shared a photo on Instagram that Liverpool fans aren’t going to like.

After two decades of European football, the 39-year-old is currently at Al-Nassr. Between 2009 and 2018, the Portuguese spent nine seasons at Santiago Bernabéu, where he became one of the greatest players in history. Although Ronaldo has been away from Real Madrid for over five years, it is evident that the team holds a special place in his heart.

Cr7 also reacted to the celebrations of the club’s 122nd “anniversary” by sharing a photo of himself with the Blancos, his fifth victory in the Champions League. “Congratulations on these 122 years of history, Madrid family! Hala Madrid”, he wrote on

A special birthday

The Whites have won the Spanish league title a record 35 times and have also won 14 Champions Leagues, six more than their nearest competitors. With Real Madrid, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner scored 450 goals in 438 matches in all competitions and won numerous important titles, including four Champions Leagues and two La Liga.

The Portuguese will return to competition on Thursday in the Saudi Pro League against Al-Raed. AL-Nassr will next face Al-Ain in the quarter-final second leg of the AFC Champions League on Monday.
