Critics' Choice Awards 2025 Gets Pushed Back Again Due to L.A. Fires, New Date Unknown

The 2025 Critics Choice Awards ceremony is being pushed back again.

The show was originally scheduled to take place on January 12, but was delayed amid the Los Angeles fires, which happened just a couple miles away from the show’s location at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.

A new date was announced for January 26, but officials have decided to push back the show to February with the Palisades Fire still only at 17% containment as of Tuesday night (January 14).

Variety reports that the event will now take place in February with the new date set to be revealed in the coming days. Chelsea Handler remains as the host and the event will still be held in Santa Monica.

Wicked and Conclave are the top 2 nominated films this year, both garnering 11 nominations. FX’s Shogun has the most TV show nominations this year with 6 total.
