Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has hinted he could make a move for Kalvin Phillips this January transfer window.
The Manchester City outcast has been linked with a transfer away this month as he remains an afterthought of Pep Guardiola's.

And to save his place in the England squad ahead of Euro 2024, a move away would suit all parties.
The 28-year-old has been linked with Juventus, Tottenham and Newcastle.
But Crystal Palace could snap up the midfielder and Hodgson would not say no to such a move - if the club can afford it.
The Eagles boss said: “I would like to think that if Kalvin Phillips is available and a possibility for the club - once again, there will be financial restrictions, who knows whether the club feels they will be able to afford that - if you’re talking about the level of player, I don’t feel there will be many managers who would not say: ‘Yeah, we will be really happy to have him come to the club.’
“As far as I’m concerned, it’s a name that’s out there. All we know, like most other clubs, is that there is a possibility that Man City will either sell him or loan him.
“If they are purely going to sell him, then I don’t think we will be in the market.
"If they’re going to loan him, I would like to think that we could possibly put our hand up and push ourselves forward.

“We might not be the only club in that position, so at the end of the day, a lot will have to happen before we find out where Kalvin Phillips is going to end up if he’s going to go anywhere."

While City would not stand in Phillips' way if he wanted to leave, they would prefer a sale rather than a loan.
But if a loan is agreed, that could prove quite expensive with the Etihad outfit demanding £5million in loan fees for the rest of the season as well as paying for most of his £135,000-a-week wages.
That could see several clubs look elsewhere, considering the Englishman has barely played this season.
Phillips has managed just 89 minutes of Premier League action across the campaign so far - not even a full match worth of minutes.
West Ham and Everton had been keen on a move but his wages have proved a stumbling block.
Newcastle were believed to have pulled out of the race to land him, but the Magpies may now reconsider having lost Joelinton for the rest of the season due to injury.
Phillips signed for City in 2022 from Leeds in a move worth £42m, with add-ons worth £3m.
