Adam Wharton is attracting interest from some of the biggest clubs in the world and Crystal Palace rightly want a huge amount of money if they are to sanction a transfer.
The 21-year-old only made the step up from Championship side Blackburn to join the Eagles in February last year, in a move worth an initial £18m.
Such was his impact in the centre of midfield for Palace that he was called up by then England manager Gareth Southgate and made his international debut in June.
Wharton made it into the Three Lions squad for Euro 2024, but didn’t add to his one cap during England’s run to the final.
The young midfielder has been hampered by a groin injury this season, making just 12 Premier League appearances so far this campaign, but it has not quelled the interest in him.

The Daily Mail reports that the Premier League trio of Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool all hold an interest in signing him.
European giants Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have also been impressed by Wharton and are considering a summer move.
Manchester City also like the Blackburn-born star and were considering a January move, but his injury put them off and they signed Nico Gonzalez instead.
The Mail report states that Wharton is now valued at £70m and Crystal Palace will not accept anything less than that figure for him in the next transfer window.
With such heavyweight clubs interested in the former Blackburn man, there could be something of a bidding war for him and that price could easily go up.
Even with potential add-ons, the deal to bring Wharton from Ewood Park to Selhurst Park could only total £22m, so it would be a huge profit on him if Palace are to sell him this summer.
Wharton remains fairly inexperienced, with just 28 Premier League appearances to his name, but his quality, composure and presence in the middle of the park has stunned scouts from around Europe.
Wharton returned to the Palace team on 2 February, having been out since late October and Glasner was very impressed with how he breezed through his recovery.
‘It was very good [to see him back],’ Glasner said after his substitute appearance in a win over Manchester United.
‘It was the first time in my career that a player had been out for three to four months and had just one week of training with us — even then, we had to manage the training at the beginning — that I called him up for the squad.
‘His performance throughout the week was impressive. I spoke to him, and we discussed before the game how many minutes he could play — we determined that 15 to 20 minutes would be possible.
‘Big credit to our rehab coaches who worked hard with him. It is good to have him back.’
