If you’re gonna be a diva, you better be a diplomat too.

Vocal powerhouses Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande made a “pact” before filming the “Wicked” movie to prevent any drama between them.

“Neither one of us wanted that. We both came into this with the decision that we would do this together as honestly as we possibly could,” Erivo said on the latest episode of Scott Evans’ “House Guest” series on YouTube.

Part of the pact was that they’d have each others back whenever they had to put their foot down with the production team.

“She and I were like, we have to work together. So, on the days when we need to say a couple of nos, we take turns. ‘You say no sometimes. I say no sometimes.’ We built like a real partnership… between the two of us,” she said.

It seems to have worked. The pair remained thick as thieves while promoting the musical. They’ve been rocking matching “Wicked” jerseys together at major events, and the two even hit the Met Gala stage together, where they took a stab at performing “When You Believe” by Mariah Carey and the late Whitney Houston.

Meanwhile, Erivo has become a Grande superfan. “She’s one of the most intelligent and brilliant people when it comes to music. It’s not just the singing,” Erivo said.

Erivo said that eventually she came to trust Grande (and only Grande) to make technical decisions about her vocals.
