Cynthia Erivo Wants Nene Leakes’ To Return To ‘The Real Housewives Of Atlanta’: “Bring Her Back, Please”

Cynthia Erivo is a known fan of The Real Housewives franchise and recently expressed her wish to have Nene Leakes return.

In a new interview, the Wicked star explained why she liked the Bravo reality series, especially the ones based in Atlanta and Potomac.

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” she told W magazine when they asked her what was her favorite reality show. “I also love Potomac. It’s fantastic. They’re very honest, which I like. Also, there’s no fighting or fisticuffs, but they will read each other crazily. Atlanta definitely gets a little rowdy, though.”

When the interviewer asked Erivo if she was a fan of Nene Leakes, Erivo said, “I am a Nene Leakes fan. I love her. Where is she? Bring her back, please. She’s great.”

Leakes is one of the most recognizable stars of The Real Housewives franchise. She ended her tenure on RHOA after Season 12 in 2020 amid a contract dispute and later sued Bravo for creating a toxic work environment, which she later dropped. In August 2023, Leakes said she had no hard feelings against executive producer Andy Cohen and was open to returning to the franchise.

“If I had to go back it will be 100% for the fans,” she said. “The check is not a bad check although I think my check should be bigger… the check is not a bad check.”

In September 2024, Leakes returned to the NBCUniversal mix, appearing in E!’s Live From E!: Emmy After Party as one of the presenters alongside Justin Sylvester and Love Island USA host Ariana Madix.

Leakes most recently appeared on Lifetime, starring in the clip show Outrageous Love with Nene Leakes, in which she gave her hot takes on couples’ love lives.
