‘Daisy Jones’ Director Nzingha Stewart Signs With UTA

EXCLUSIVE: Nzingha Stewart has new representation. Stewart, who directed episodes of Amazon’s Daisy Jones and The Six, has signed with UTA in all areas.

She was previously repped by A3 Artists Agency.

Stewart is currently directed the pilot episode of Amazon’s We Were Liars, which stars Mamie Gummer, Caitlin FitzGerald and Candice King and comes from Julie Plec and Carina Adly MacKenzie.

Before that, she directed five episodes of Netflix’s From Scratch, which is inspired by Tembi Locke’s memoir and comes from Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine. She also recently finished shooting the first two episodes of Amazon’s Alex Cross series and the pilot for FX’s Me, We, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.

Elsewhere, she co-wrote The Bad Ass Biker Chicks of Marrakech with Lindsay Cohen, which was recently sold to Wayfarer Studios, where she will also be directing, and is attached to direct Life In Motion for New Line based on Misty Copeland’s life.

Stewart will continue to be represented by Entertainment 360 and The Nord Group.
