Daisy Ridley may have lined up her next role while being interviewed live on TV during an appearance on The View! The 32-year-old actress is currently promoting her new movie Young Woman and the Sea and made several appearances on Monday (May 21) in New York City. Daisy kicked off her day at Good Morning America and The View and then later attended a special screening of the new Disney film at the IPIC Theater. The movie tells the true story of Trudy Ederle, born to immigrant parents in New York City in 1905, who defied societal norms and overcame numerous challenges to become the first woman to successfully swim the English Channel. While appearing on The View, Daisy seemingly received an exciting job offer from co-host Whoopi Goldberg. Keep reading to find out more… Daisy‘s musical abilities were brought up on the show and she revealed, “I have honestly been trying to do a musical for so long. I have been shameless on TV shows talking about it. The right thing has not yet come along.” Host Ana Navarro suggested she should be in Whoopi‘s upcoming movie Sister Act 3 and the EGOT winner replied, “You know I just invited her to do that.” Whoopi then wrote something on a notecard and slipped it to Daisy while saying, “stay in touch.” Daisy was practically speechless and replied, “Oh my God!. Wow. Overcome. Wow.” At the end of the interview, Whoopi told Daisy that she’ll “see [her] on set.” Whoopi has publicly pleaded for a legendary actress to appear in Sister Act 3 and she has named one star as her dream new lead actress.
