Dakota Kai is back in action, but can Bayley trust her?

The two are set to team up against their former stablemates The Kabuki Warriors next week on the March 1 episode of SmackDown. This will be Kai’s first match back from her ACL injury last May.

On the Feb. 23 episode of SmackDown, Kai was seen being helped to medical because she was attacked by Damage CTRL. Despite the attack not being shown on screen, Kai told Bayley that it was Damage CTRL who attacked her and she will do anything to prove to Bayley that she is on her side.

Bayley felt bad that she wasn’t there to prevent the attack. She added that Damage CTRL would not get away with the attack and Kai said they would make Damage CTRL pay.

It was a few weeks ago after Bayley’s Royal Rumble victory that Damage CTRL turned on her. However, Kai was missing from the segment as she states she was working on being cleared to return to in-ring work. Kai had Bayley’s back on the Feb. 9 episode where she brought a steel chair in the ring to keep Bayley from the three-on-one attack.

Before The Kabuki Warriors face Bayley and Kai next week, they defend the Women’s Tag Titles against Indi Hartwell & Candice LeRae on Saturday at the Elimination Chamber event.

Also on this week’s SmackDown, Liv Morgan took on Tiffany Stratton. This match was cooking on all cylinders and the two looked great together in the ring.

The final moments of the match broke down when Stratton slapped Bianca Belair in the face who was sitting at ringside before she raced back in the ring. This led to Belair jumping on the apron which distracted the referee. Morgan had Stratton pinned but the ref only got to a two count once he saw it. Stratton stacks Morgan up to steal the win.
