One of the top stars in the current WWE roster is Damian Priest. The member of the Judgment Day is a former NXT North American Champion and also had held the WWE United States Championship once in his career. The Archer of Infamy currently holds the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championships along with fellow Judgment Day member Finn Balor.

Most of the above-mentioned information is well-known by the majority of the pro wrestling universe. But how many of them know about Priest’s love for martial arts?

Recently, during an interview with the Australian News Media channel The West Sport, The Archer of Infamy opened up about his connection with martial arts. Damian Priest mentioned that he would not be where he is currently, if it was not for martial arts.

“I think, if you watch my work from the get-go, you can tell how much martial arts has influenced my style. And it helped me get to where I am. Just the physical aspect of it… It’s probably helped my body last as long as it has. Just because of the training and whatnot. Granted I’m…. I’m… My flexibility is not what it used to be. So I don’t throw as many kicks and stuff like that anymore.

“But it clearly had a huge influence and it still continues to do so. And I still try to… That goes with what I was saying about influences and taking what pertains to you. I’ve always loved martial arts. And so I incorporate into who Damian Priest is. Movies, music, obviously idols from yesteryear and incorporate everything to make up what is Damian Priest,” Damian Priest said.
