Damian Priest sees a match with Oba Femi in his future.

The former World Heavyweight Champion is coming off a big win at Bad Blood. He beat former teammate Finn Balor in a match that hopefully signals the end of their long-running rivalry.

He could next move on to facing NXT North American Champion Oba Femi. The Nigerian wrestler recently broke the record for the longest-reigning North American champion in history, and looks to have a huge future on the main roster.

During a Fanatics Live signing held via UpUpDownDown (H/T to Post Wrestling for the transcription), Damian Priest was asked which NXT stars he is looking forward to wrestling.

Priest quickly named Oba Femi as one of his dream opponents. He noted that the NXT North American Champion is “gonna be a megastar”. Damian Priest then joked hes “not looking forward to that one”, due to how impressive Oba Femi is in the ring.

He was legit one of the first ones that came to mind when you asked the question (Priest said when reacting to idea of match between himself & Oba Femi). Ridiculously impressive, right? Especially the fact that his limited time in the business and what he can do already.”

“That’s gonna be a megastar. You can just tell sometimes and I mean, it’s all set up for him to just — he just has not take his foot off the gas but, he’s gonna be fine so, I feel like that’s gonna inevitably happen anyway… Yeah, I’m not looking forward to that one (he laughed).”
