Dan Gore is set to become the 8th player to depart Manchester United on loan in the January transfer window.
According to an update from Fabrizio Romano on X, Port Vale are closing in on a move for United academy star Gore as the youngster pushes to get regularly first team football experience.
The latest from the Manchester Evening News suggests an agreement is in place between United and the League One outfit. There was extensive loan interest in the 19-year-old this month, but Port Vale have offered the best assurances of regular football at a competitive level for the remainder of the campaign.
Port Vale currently sit 15th in League One, just seven points clear of the relegation zone, which means Gore is going into a dog-eat-dog competitive environment.
Gore needs to experience more first team football after making his United debut in the League Cup win over Crystal Palace earlier this season. He also got some minutes under his belt in the comeback win over Aston Villa on Boxing Day.
Furthermore, the academy graduate was named in 11 matchday squads this season.
