Following his conviction for sexual assault, Dani Alves is no longer among the legends of the Catalan club.

Justice has ruled. Prosecuted for sexual assault, Dani Alves was sentenced to four and a half years in prison. A conviction which is accompanied by other more symbolic sanctions.

In his hometown, Juazeiro, many residents demanded that the statue bearing his image be taken down. And this downgrade also applies to Barça.

According to Sport, the Blaugrana have indeed decided to strip Dani Alves of his club legend status. An honor shared by 102 Barça players since its creation in 1899.
