Barcelona faced Rayo Vallecano in La Liga match week 3. The game started quite difficult for the Catalan club, conceding a goal in the 9th minute.
After Hansi Flick’s half-time talk, however, and Dani Olmo replacing Ferran Torres, the entire dynamic of the team changed.
Barcelona’s star signing Dani Olmo was able to make an instant impact in his debut for the club, completing the team’s comeback in the 82nd minute with a wonderful left-foot curler from the edge of the box.
The 26-year-old spoke in his post-match interview:
“I feel very good. I was so ready to play, and I was waiting for this moment. There’s no better way to make my debut,” said Olmo.
Dani Olmo during his post-match interview.“I’m always trying to score goals or create chances. I’m an attacking player,” he added.
“We haven’t won in this stadium for a few years now, so we’re very happy with the win and our performance.”
With an amazing effort in attack and defence, Olmo was named MVP.
Even though Barcelona have not had the greatest transfer window, due to financial restrictions, it looks like Dani Olmo has been a brilliant bet, and is here to change a lot for the positive at the club.
