With his signing for FC Barcelona only a matter of minutes, Dani Olmo has taken to social media to say goodbye to RB Leipzig.

The 26-year-old Spaniard signed for the Bundesliga club in January 2020, arriving from Dinamo Zagreb, and went on to play a key role in helping the Saxony-based outfit establish themselves as a top team in Germany.

Olmo went on to make 148 appearances for RB Leipzig in his four-and-a-half-year stay at the club, racking up 29 goals and 34 assists in the process.

With his transfer to Barcelona all but done, the Spanish international took to social media to say farewell to the Bundesliga outfit with a heartfelt message.

A young club, a young player… We grew up, won our first trophies and made history together.

Two Cups and the Super Cup are just some of the many unforgettable moments that'll always stay with me.

Thank you @RBLeipzig , you’ll forever be in my heart.#EinmalLeipzigImmerLeipzig pic.twitter.com/NoJEFbs7Gk

Olmo will be joining Barcelona in a deal worth around €60 million, including add-ons, and will sign a six-year contract until the summer of 2030.
