Daniel Craig scolded Stephen Colbert for mispronouncing his name on his late night talk show the last six times he’s appeared as a guest.

Shortly after Colbert introduced Craig to the audience on Monday’s episode of “The Late Show,” the “Knives Out” actor admitted he had a “bone to pick” with the host.

“You have a bone to pick?” Colbert asked, appearing shocked by Craig’s admission.

Craig, 56, nodded and pointed out that he’s been on “The Late Show” six times — and that Colbert, 60, has said his last name wrong every single time.

The “James Bond” actor asked the comedian to say his full name, and when Colbert did, Craig laughed and said, “Oh, now you’re doing it right.”

“It’s a diphthong,” Craig explained, referring to a word that combines two vowels in a single syllable.

Colbert listened intently as Craig repeated how to correctly say his last name several times. CBS Craig, pictured here on Nov. 13, explained that his surname is “Cr-ayg” and not “Cr-egg.” Image Press Agency/NurPhoto/Shutterstock

Craig then repeated the correct pronunciation of his last name, which is “Cr-ayg” — not “Cr-egg,” like Colbert was saying it.

“Ooh, I hear the difference,” Colbert confessed. “That is subtle. That is a subtle difference, and I apologize.”

Craig seemed to accept his apology and said, “OK, thank you.”

“I don’t want Daniel Cr-ayg mad at me,” Colbert joked, while correctly pronouncing his last name for the remainder of the show.

“Daniel Cr-egg? F–k that guy!”

After some friendly banter continued between the two, Colbert reached over and shook Craig’s hand while once again apologizing.

“I am so sorry,” Colbert reiterated. “Please accept my apology. Hold on a second, have I been doing that for six shows?”

The “Queer” actor laughed and quipped, “Six shows, it’s fine! It’s just fine, whatever.”

“You can call me Colbert,” the talk show host said in response, jokingly pronouncing his last name as “Cole-bert” instead of “Cole-bear,” as the audience erupted into laughter.
