Daniel Garcia is staying with AEW.

Garcia’s status has been up in the air, as his AEW contract was set to expire in October. He had been absent since AEW All Out, where he lost to MJF but took him out with an avalanche piledriver. Garcia appeared on the October 8 episode of AEW Dynamite and addressed his future.

He noted that he had been doing a lot of thinking about what was best for him, and that wasn’t always the easy answer or the popular answer. Garcia then said that he realized that he could do whatever he wanted to do because he was one of the best wrestlers in the world, and it would only be right to stay with AEW, where the best wrestle.

Daniel Garcia then vowed to be a different version of himself. He said he would be a Daniel Garcia that AEW could build its future around. Garcia set his sights on gold and vowed to change everything. He called out all the champions and said that none of them were safe.

Garcia made his AEW debut in September 2020 and had been signed to AEW since October 2021. He is a former ROH Pure Champion.
