Darby Allin is determined to do whatever it takes to make Sting‘s last match special.

During a recent interview with Denise Salcedo, Darby Allin shared his thoughts on Sting’s looming retirement match at AEW Revolution. He made it clear that he would do anything to make it special.

“I’ll stop at nothing to make sure that man’s career ends on a high note,” Allin said. “I’m willing to put myself through anything physically in that match because, to me, the most important part of a career is the end. People are gonna remember this forever and if you like crap the bed in your final match, people are gonna be like, ‘Ah, his career was good and everything, but man, he should’ve left a lot sooner,’ and I don’t want that.”

Darby Allin Wants To Be Like Sting

Darby Allin went on to praise Sting’s run in AEW. He expressed his gratitude for being part of it and stated that he wanted to be like Sting when he was older.

“He’s been hitting home runs in AEW this whole way,” he said. “No one expected him to be able to do what he’s doing. I’m very grateful for the whole experience and I couldn’t have been paired up with anyone better because he’s the most humble, chill guy outside the ring and he could be the most arrogant dude if he wanted to be because he’s done everything there is.

“But the fact that he’s so humble and nice, I’m like, ‘That’s what I want to be when I’m 64 years old. So when I get older, I wanna be Sting.”

Allin and Sting won the AEW World Tag Team Championship on the February 7 episode of AEW Dynamite. The Young Bucks attacked them after the bout, and the two teams remain on a collision course.
