Darby Allin says Sting‘s final match scares him.
“The Icon” is set to have his final pro wrestling match at AEW Revolution this Sunday in Greensboro, North Carolina. He’ll team with Darby Allin to defend the AEW World Tag Team Championship against The Young Bucks in a Tornado Tag match.
Allin recently spoke with the Battleground Podcast about it and explained why Sting’s final match scares him.
“It scares me because this is the very last match. There’s nothing left to lose, and I think someone might go to the hospital,” Allin said. “I think it’s gonna be a wild fight. And I know I’ll stop at nothing to make sure it’s one of the most memorable matches that he’s ever had. Yeah, man, people are always going to remember this.
“If you crap the bed on the last match, people are always going to remember that. So it’s my mission statement right here that I am going to make sure this man’s career ends with the respect it deserves. And if I have to sacrifice myself, so be it. A sacrifice must be made.”
WrestleZone will have complete coverage of AEW Revolution this Sunday as it airs.
