Darby Allin has been sidelined with an injury.
As first reported by TMZ Sports, Darby Allin suffered a broken foot on the March 13 episode of AEW Dynamite. The report notes that Allin broke three bones in his right foot on Wednesday, and the injury occurred less than two minutes into Allin’s match against Jay White on Wednesday, when he attempted a front flip off the top rope. The report notes that Allin landed awkwardly on the floor, but despite the injury, he finished the match.
Darby Allin then took to Twitter to comment on the news. He wrote that “the foot’s really broke from Wednesday’s match. Everest will have to be next year.
Allin had been training for months to climb Mount Everest, and he was set to leave on March 27. However, the injury will force him to delay his attempt to climb it.
Ironically, Jay White and Bullet Club Gold took out Allin by attacking his ankle after the match on Wednesday.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available, and we wish Darby Allin well in his recovery.
