Littler went on to lose 7-4 against Humphries but won the hearts of many following an excellent run throughout the tournament.

His incredible efforts led to United inviting him to Old Trafford on Sunday for their match against Spurs.

On the club's official X account, he was seen stood by the pitch and holding a shirt with his name and 180 on the back - the perfect gift for the darts sensation.

It's a clash both sides will be desperate to win as they eye qualification for Europe next season, and Littler will be on hand to cheer his side on towards victory.

He revealed to talkSPORT that United legend David Beckham sent him a message on social media amid his amazing tournament.

'Well done, once a Red always a Red,' the former England star said to Littler as he prepared for the biggest match of his career so far.

Beckham's son Romeo did the same and was seen at Alexandra Palace for the final, with defender Luke Shaw also sending his best wishes.

Littler is a United fan and he may well have done his scouting on Spurs having attended their 3-1 win against Bournemouth.
