Dave Annable Says 'Yellowstone' Co-Star Kevin Costner Made Him Dye His Hair

Dave Annable is explaining his hair, and how it has to do with Kevin Costner.

The 45-year-old Yellowstone star spoke out about his naturally gray look while talking to People about his series Lioness.

“I asked and this one they said yes,” he began. “I asked on Yellowstone, and God bless Mr. [Kevin] Costner, he was like, ‘No – you’re going to dye it. I don’t want to look that old.’ I was like, ‘Oh, okay. Copy that. That makes sense.’”

In the drama, he plays Neal, the surgeon husband of Zoe Saldaña‘s protagonist Joe.

“So yeah, [for] this one I think it works,” he continued to explain of the gray hair. “We’re able to use it. It looks doctor-y.”

Yellowstone is wrapping up with its fifth and final season, which will premiere the first of its last six episodes on November 10. Lioness‘ second season premieres October 27 on Paramount+.
