Dave Bautista made his mark in WWE’s wrestling history before moving on to the Hollywood business. The former WWE champion was launched into the mainstream acting industry with his role in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. It appears, Bautista is all set to appear in a new role in Hollywood.

According to Deadline, Bautista is set to star alongside Pamela Anderson in an upcoming film directed by Gia Coppola titled “The Last Showgirl.” This new movie will also feature Jamie Lee Curtis, Brenda Song, Kiernan Shipka and Billie Lourd. Judging from the casting it looks like a promising project.

The Last Showgirl will follow a “seasoned showgirl” navigating her future after her long-running show “abruptly closes.” The character struggles with her next steps while also aiming to repair her relationship with her daughter, who felt she was never important in the showgirl family. The script is written by Up Here, The Good Place and Mozart in the Jungle writer Kate Gersten.

It will be produced by Robert Schwartzman and Natalie Farrey and executive-produced by Kara Durrett and Jesse Burgum. While speaking to the outlet, Coppola expressed her excitement for the project. She seemed eager to share Pamela Anderson’s “daring and heartfelt performance” with the audience.

“I’ve always wanted to make a movie in Vegas. I’m so proud of our cast and crew, especially Pamela. I can’t wait to share her daring and heartfelt performance!”
