David Beckham was delighted to receive an unusual gift from his wife Victoria for Valentine’s Day, as his new passion for chickens continues to grow.

In recent months, Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham has been enthusiastic about tending to his own flock of chickens. On Valentine’s Day, he took to Instagram to thank his wife Victoria for giving him the latest edition of The Country Smallholder magazine – which provides news, practical information, guides and features on the hobby farming, organic gardening, veterinary advice and much more.

As well as posting a photo from the magazine in an Instagram story, Beckham, 48, wrote: “My Valentine’s Day present,” followed by a love heart emoji, and tagged Victoria as well. David Beckham received his own flock of chickens for Christmas, leading Victoria to gift the former England international with a book called ‘Raising Chickens for Dummies’.

Beckham’s new passion

The couple installed a hutch and enclosure for the ex-footballer on their Cotswolds farm, to complement the hive they already have. Last week, Beckham showed his “excitement” about finding eggs and “learning what they need,” and this magazine will only add to his enthusiasm for the whole process.

While Beckham indulges in his new hobby, his team, Inter Miami, begins the 2024 MLS season next week, at home against Real Salt Lake on February 22, before facing former David’s team, the LA Galaxy, four days later.
