Nicki Minaj, a Grammy-winning American female singer, rapper, and icon, has taken to social media to praise the incredible musical skills of renowned Afrobeat maestro, Davido.
TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) reports that Minaj had taken to the microblogging platform X, formerly Twitter, to give Davido his flowers with a post where she acknowledged the multi-award singer’s talent.
This comes after a fan via X.com inquired from the American rapper about what drew her to feature Davido in her song, “If it’s Okay”?
The post reads: “What drew you to Davido for the song, “If it’s Okay”? In my opinion, he was an ideal choice for this incredible masterpiece! He was speaking that ish.”
In response, Nicki Minaj replied, “That man is an incredible writer and melody maker. It’s always a pleasure working with him because of our mutual respect for one another. I asked him to be a part of it in order to bring out the Afrobeats tempo/feeling in ita bit more. Naija to the world.”
