'Days of Our Lives' Head Writer Ron Carlivati Is Leaving the Soap After 7 Years

Days of Our Lives is losing a key member of the creative team.

Ron Carlivati, the head writer of the soap opera for the last seven years, has left the Peacock series and is being replaced by Paula Cwikly and Jeanne Marie Ford, effective immediately, via Deadline.

His final episodes will air through April of 2025.

Paula has written for The Young and The Restless, As The World Turns and Sunset Beach. She was with Days of Our Lives as both an associate and head writer in the early ’00s.

Jeanne Marie is currently on the writing team as a breakdown writer, and started her career as a writer’s assistant in 1992. She also wrote for As The World Turns and One Life To Live.

“We look forward to approaching our 60th Anniversary next year with Paula and Jeanne Marie at the helm and fresh, exciting stories that we know the fans will embrace,” said executive producer Ken Corday in a statement. “We wish Ron nothing but the best and thank him for his dedication and the respect he has shown to me, the cast, and the show’s legacy.”
