An iconic Manchester City player, the Belgian international has just started his tenth season with the English club. It won’t necessarily be his last.

During the summer transfer window, Kevin De Bruyne was the subject of some rumors. The Belgian international was reportedly in the sights of one or more clubs playing in Saudi Arabia. His coach at Manchester City,

Pep Guardiola even had to deny them at a press conference.

This time, it was the person concerned himself who denied everything.

“To be honest, I haven’t spoken to anyone. There’s been a lot of noise and rumours. I said this summer that I expected a quiet summer and that’s what happened. I went on holiday for four weeks, came back and started training. That’s it.”assured the former Wolfsburg player during an interview given to the BBC.

Kevin De Bruyne assures that he is fully focused on the current season. “I didn’t receive anyone and I didn’t speak to anyonehe insists. I wanted to relax. No offers came across my desk. So I came back and trained. I just want to start well and play football. Once the season is over, I’m sure there will be talks with City.”

The 33-year-old midfielder is tied to the Citizens until June 2025. As a reminder, he arrived at the English club in the summer of 2015 for an amount between 75 and 80 million euros.
