DeRon Horton revealed that he was shot in the arm right before the holidays, and he is feeling “blessed” to be alive and not paralyzed. The 32-year-old actor, who you’ll recognize from projects such as Dear White People and American Horror Story, took to social media on Thursday (January 16) to share details about the situation and to assure everyone that he was healing. He posted photos of his injury and himself recovering in a hospital bed. Some of his former costars also reached out to offer him support. Keep reading to find out more… On Instagram, DeRon posted a photo of himself laying in a hospital bed with a large cast on his arm. He explained that someone had shot at him through his car and provided photos of a shattered window. “First off. I wanna give an honor to God for covering me and protecting me to make it out this situation and countless other ones,” he wrote in the accompanying caption. “Gettin shot a few days before Xmas def wasn’t on my wish list 😂🎅🏽 but it happened mf shot thru the car at me bullet broke my arm shattered it all type o shit.” He continued, writing, “But I’m Blessed dawg to not be in a casket or paralyzed Lord Thank You. I’m out the hospital now healing💯 I got a plate n screws in my mf arm, so I can’t workout for a minute which I’m mad about BUT it coulda been worse!” “And I don’t need no sympathy I’m finna bounce right back I feel amazing 💯💯 I just wanted to remind yall and myself to Keep God first!
