Decision from key Barcelona target could ‘come anytime now’ – Romano

Earlier today, it was reported that top Barcelona target Nico Williams could soon make a final decision on his future.

The Athletic Club forward has several offers on the table. But the offers from Barcelona and PSG have primarily been in focus, while a prolonged stay at the club has not been ruled out either.

Barcelona are confident about signing Nico, but they are fearful of PSG’s interest, as the French giants are ready to pay Nico a fortune.

Decision from Nico imminent

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has offered a key update on the future of Nico Williams this summer.

The Italian does confirm that Nico’s decision could come anytime now. It appears all journalists, as well as Barcelona and Athletic Club, are patiently waiting for the attacker to make a final decision on his future.

Romano adds that Barça are confident of their chances of signing Nico. However, the club cannot move forward with the deal without receiving the green light from the player himself.

Finding Nico

Fabrizio Romano has also offered key updates on Barcelona’s transfer plans this summer, including the club’s roadmap ahead if Nico refuses to join the team.

The Italian journalist believes Barça are fully focused on Nico’s pursuit for now. They are not keen on looking after any other negotiations until they receive a response from the Spanish international.

In the event Nico refuses to join Barcelona, the Catalans are expected to shift their focus on Dani Olmo, the club’s other top attacking target.

The coming hours, therefore, could prove to be crucial, not just for Nico but for Barcelona as well.
